It’s that time of year again, as the NBA offseason officially begins. It’s a time when teams and players begin to re-shape the rosters of their teams. I find myself having a lot planned out for the season’s first few months, and many of these projects may never actually get off the ground — but they can definitely keep me occupied until the regular season starts later in the summer.
Today, I’m going to take you through my team of the upcoming NBA season — some teams and players who are not only going to be making the jump to the NBA, but others who we can expect to see make some real improvements in their game this season.
Athletes like Carmelo Anthony make the leap quite easily, as he’s a perfect fit for the team he plays for (Denver), and has shown that he’s able to improve his games without the ball (and even when he doesn’t).
But who else stands to come in, and who will improve after the initial flurry of players who get to a team’s roster quickly?

10. DeMarcus Cousins — The Kings, along with the Pelicans, have the most roster spots for rookies, so they will have to make their decisions soon — and probably on draft night — with DeMarcus Cousins standing next to him amongst the top rookies. Cousins played 19.3 minutes per game last year, and is capable of playing on offense right away. He is a capable defender, and has a good handle on the game. When Cousins is on the bench and he gets the ball, the Kings should be very good and they will play the Warriors hard and keep it close.
