By making something by hand or using a machine, you are in charge of the process and the final product. When you can get away with it this means the materials you will be using are quality and inexpensive, meaning you can afford the expense of setting it up. I know a couple DIY woodworker that make a woodworking workshop that you can build and get into without really investing a lot of money in a workshop. I also saw a woodworking tutorial that talked about making the chair and then making the chair out of lumber. This seems kind of expensive, but with some elbow grease and some materials you can make a quality custom made woodworking chair that’s about the same price of a used car. When your woodworking workshop is ready to use the finished bench and chairs are ready to spend money on, buy some woodworkers tape with which to glue and finish the chairs for around ten dollars. That’s a great way to save a lot of money and get into woodworking for good!
