A: Well, the first three days of the job, I don’t think most people could do that, but during the four or five weeks, then it could. But a lot of people do dogs that don’t make a dollar and then that is a different story. You go into these areas and things just tend to work out the way you like ’em to. But that is not really something I look for.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I’ve never been to a beach. I like going out a little bit, but I haven’t been out on a vacation where there is a beach. But the beach seems fun. I go out to the ocean as often as I can, but I try and stay away from that place I used to go out to as a kid. I don’t really know where it is that I go to in the area anymore, so it is kind of boring for me.
Q: Do you have pets?
A: I do have a pet monkey, but I don’t really understand why people are petting that monkey. I don’t really know why anyone would want pets. I do have a small dog. I know that my dog, my golden retriever, I don’t like him very much but he is a helper. And I do like the other two dogs who I got when I got older and they’re great and they have friends, too.
Q: What if someone steals it?
A: My dog is very, very protective of the puppy I got when I was about three months old. He didn’t think it was necessary when I bought him [the puppy] and so he just kept saying, “You can keep him if you love him,” because he was my first dog. Then I got a new puppy when I was a little girl and I loved him. But, then, when I was in my 20s, I started having problems with the cat and so I had this big black, silver black cat who, I was very scared all the time because it would attack, the dog would be around, and I didn’t know what was going on. And the dog, like I said, a helper dog, he would be like, “You can keep her if you love her. There’s not a person in the world I trust more than you.” And then the cat, he’s just a very strong cat. He used to be very protective of him.
