Well, yeah, they could be. They all have their own claims to fame though. The one thing I’m not too sure about is their success rate. Some experts predict that it’s more like 40% of the population and 40% of the most successful people have a personal trainer in their lives. Some people even claim they have a personal trainer with them everywhere they go!
What is one thing that you would tell an aspiring personal trainer?
You should always be yourself and be in control of what you do. Do whatever it takes to get better and never let anyone or anything take control of you. This is an important philosophy to have in life because it makes it easy to see what you’re working towards and when to stop.
How do you handle criticism of yourself?
I don’t. It sounds gross to say this but I don’t care. When someone is telling me I should do something wrong, I’ll just change it. If someone has an opinion I can’t change about their personal trainer, they’re probably doing it wrong. People often get into trouble for criticizing themselves, but I try and let it go. I’m not about to give the person a bad name and I can’t blame them for how their personal trainer does things. If anything I try to help them improve as a person.
How do you handle criticism from your fellow personal trainers?
I try and not let it affect me during a workout or anything. I’m not going to be so worried if someone says something stupid as they think it’s all bad. I’m a guy that works out and I’ve been there and done that. This is all I care about. I don’t care if someone thinks I’m too hard on myself, that’s normal. I’m not being nice to anyone, but I’m also not being rude either.
Do you have a motto?
Not sure what I’d say. I’m not really one to follow a specific thing when it comes to personal training. They all have their own things to say and I tend to listen to each person’s perspective and go along with them. This gives me flexibility, but there is no motto.
Where do you look for inspiration?
I look for inspiration in the world around me, friends and people in the gym or outside of the gym that inspire me.
What is something I can do every day to improve myself?
A big goal for me is to get stronger,
