These factors have been shown to activate the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that tells the rest of the body what is needed to perform every act of our bodies. They are the four “wants”. These are: calories, fat, sugar and food. So that’s it then… we get it. We have to be really good looking to get the rest of those want, right? I don’t know about you, but when I see my belly, my gut cramp up, and I’ve lost weight in all three areas, I don’t think about it a whole lot. Yes, it can make me happy that I’m not starving to death, but it won’t make me look in the mirror and wonder, “Damn, I’m so hungry.” It will make me happy that for the last few years I’ve been eating healthier and exercising more. It will make me feel like I could take off running. It will make my belly happy that my hormones have been changing to be in more of a position where they can do good things for us.
