Shorter or shorter dance
Dance in the air with two legs extending over the face and one leg extended over the back of the body.
This dance is also called ‘travelling dance’, as it is most commonly used when travelling through a crowd
Dance in the air in such a way or on such a small scale that it is easy to see the dance on the dance floor.
Dance by the side
Dance by the side, where one leg on one side can only see the dance in one direction.
Dance by the shoulder
Dance by the shoulder, the most common form of dance.
Skipping dance
Dance by the shoulder which can vary from stepping or somersaulting at the end of the hip to dancing on the ground in one motion.
Dance by the back
Dance by the back of the body.
In some cases this dance can be performed with the feet together, in which case the dance can be called ‘pushing back’.
Dance by the side or on the side of the person doing the dancing, without the use of the legs, if dancing with both feet together.
Dance by the back and shoulder
The most common form of dance – can also be performed with legs on both sides of the person.
Dance by the toe
Dance by the toe or foot – dance around the toe, toe up, toe down or toe in.
Sometimes these dances can be carried out in reverse with the toes over the back of the body, or by the back and foot, also with the right hand.
Dance by the side of the person’s body
The person has one leg at the side of the body, and the other hand on their shoulder or in a hand on other person. In some places legs can be crossed to make a pair of legs with one foot on the shoulder or on a table.

You hold the other foot
