Is the only one out there?
Are you one of those people who can give away a million dollars for two years and it won’t kill you? Is that the secret?
I’m glad you asked. I was thinking what you said to the girl who asked to buy a painting of your face at New York’s Museum Of Modern Art. She bought it because for $350 she thinks her face looks beautiful. If she knew you paid $1.25 million dollars to make the paintings, and the price of the canvas and the paint, and the studio, what might she have been paying? If you have just about $1,000,000 in your bank account, you are not making enough money on a single piece. So the one thing that can be done, the only way that anyone could go broke is through a lack of creative ambition.
But you have the same artistic talent as the rest – all the people you like.
I really do believe that.
I think you’re the sort of creative person who could not only create one great painting but one great career.
That’s absolutely true. I feel like you are one of the lucky ones because you were born with both creativity and luck, but there are still many artists out there who are born with both at the same time.
What’s the best thing about being a painter?
Oh, the best thing is that you can be yourself. You can say whatever comes to mind. You are not restricted in the way that you can speak. You can be whatever you want and nobody will judge you. And your family and neighbors are there to support you. You can not only be creative and do great work, but also have a good time doing great work, and that’s one of the greatest things about painting.
But you have to have a talent, but not a bad one.
Oh, yes, but I don’t have one. But you know, I think, with everyone else who’s into it, there’s a great deal of talent. My brother and I have been doing a lot of work with some of the best, famous, famous painters throughout the world. Sometimes with a famous painter as the focal point: I mean, David is a painter too, and I have done portraits of David. I have done portraits of [Italian artist Paolo] Veronese. My brother, who is a great writer, has been doing art work with some of the
woodworking market, woodworking business plan, woodworking business book, small wooden things to make, how to make money in my woodworking shop
