# How roulette is rigged?

According to a survey by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), roulette systems are frequently rigged. In some cases, the machines are linked together to control the outcomes, like in a bank robbery. They also use pre-determined numbers. There are systems in place to determine how much money to give when you win.

If the results of a game are programmed differently, a lot of folks are affected. Roulette is especially vulnerable to a wide variety of “cheating” methods. For example, there are systems in place to stop people from using more than one machine in the same game. And there are different kinds of machines, each with its own rules and different types of combinations that determine what the outcome of a game is.

In the 1990s, for example, the FBI began studying the problem and concluded that roulette machines in the United States had a high incidence of cheating. They started with the game “Poker,” another video game that has some of the highest rates of cheating.

How do you tell if it’s rigged?

The first thing you should do if you suspect a game is rigged is to check every possible outcome to determine if it was the right one. To do this, just look at a machine. It might be black or white, red or white, or another color. This is often enough to reveal a significant problem.

On roulette, you might not be able to tell, unless you check every possible combination. If you look for a red wheel that spins through a sequence of three colors, you’re about to find out! Even a cursory look at the wheel itself can reveal it’s rigged, as can looking at the number of spins.

Are you sure? Check if the wheels are spinning.

The wheel may also have a little red squiggle next to it. This means it’s pre-programmed to have five colors instead of the expected three, but it could be the result of a random number generator (RNG), which gives away the results in advance of when the game is played.

Another problem can be that the wheels can be flipped left or right so that the outcome of each spin would be different depending on whether you bet at a lower or higher amount than the previous spin.
