It took us two weeks to figure out. A few people thought we were going to put on a show, but we really just wanted to enjoy the ballet, and we had a great time.
But for our next show together, we decided to start looking into the French language. We have been living in France for less than a month so we have already made a few mistakes in our French. That will be the topic of the next show together. Also to add to our french: A few of the dance company’s dancers in the “Horse of Destiny” ballet from France. We had great fun. Our choreographers did some really neat things with their dancers, from the way the choreographer moved a leg, to the way the dancers moved their feet in a straight line. They really went through the motions with the choreography. We have a whole host of French dancers from all over France who worked on our show.
What was the best part of traveling to France, to see the country?
To say the least, the best part of traveling is the food. There’s a lot to eat in France. It’s always a variety of food. We loved the variety of meals. There’s a lot of restaurants that specialize in French food, and a lot of bars that specialize in French drinking. There’s also a ton of places to get in the French nightclub scene. I’d have to say, even the bars. Even in our own French club in New York City. We really enjoyed our New York bar scene. We really enjoyed a lot of things here in Paris.
How long had you been in Paris?
I’d been to Paris since I was 10 years old. I lived in Paris for four years as well; we moved to Paris in November 2013. That’s when we came up with the idea for Dine With Daughters. We’d stayed in Paris for over a year after New York. I would always get a lot of ideas to put together in Paris.
