Photo retouching is a technique often used to soften and enhance different areas of an image. Basically, you’re retouching two different images together with different levels of sharpness, noise reduction and other processing techniques.
It’s similar to Adobe Photoshop’s “sharpening” process, and this tutorial will help you get started right away by providing you with everything you need to know about it.
I know how to do photo retouching, but what exactly are the different options?
You’ll be surprised at how few of the techniques in the Photoshop library are as simple as a pixel search or a little trick with a tool like Smart Objects. In this tutorial, I’ll show you the basic techniques, and then you’ll see a few advanced options.
I’ve used photo retouching at work before, but in a very basic way. How do you do better? I’ll show the tricks you’ll need to improve the results, but how can you do them in a more sophisticated way that I haven’t seen before?

There is a small handful of techniques available for retouching photos in Photoshop that you can use to change certain parts of your photo significantly, but this is only a very small portion of Photoshop.
This tutorial will explain each of those techniques. Each technique will cover something different and a lot easier than something you could figure out from reading about it online.
It’s important to understand that each technique you learn is a very small part of what Photoshop has to offer. It’s simply the way that we have made use of Photoshop’s capabilities.
So when the right technology is not the right tool for the job, it’s up to you to pick up the right skills.
