“I get asked that question often. It’s a funny thing. I don’t get paid to play with computers. I used to play the lottery, but that’s the last thing I do. I’d like a job. If I was offered a job at a sports betting parlor, I’d take it. It’s just a part of my life now. I just don’t know quite how to use it. I don’t know if you pay me enough to do it.”
This is not the first time that this has been asked of Mr. McAfee. Just before his death he asked a New York Times reporter how much money he made. Since that time, according to the New York Times, he has made a reported $1.3 million from his investment in Bitcoin.
One more question… why doesn’t McAfee tell you how much money the Bitcoin market is worth every year?
“That’s a stupid question to ask. This is an information market. If you can talk, you make money. If you don’t then you just stay silent.”
What could he do better than the average person?
“That’s a stupid question to ask. I’m just trying to do my job. Nobody can tell me what to do. I’m not a computer specialist. I’m not even a computer security guy. When you get paid to do something you usually make mistakes.”
What’s your opinion on Bitcoin? Are they going to change a lot?
“It will probably be regulated by regulators. The regulators don’t like it when people get involved in the black market. They put down laws that will make it impossible for people to do anything illegal. They do not like to see black markets.”
Do you have any recommendations for new computer users?
“If you want to do your job, you need to learn how to use the computer. I’ve never had a computer before my job. The computers at my job aren’t all that good.”
Do you think the government should be involved in the industry?
“I’m afraid no. It’s just an experiment to see if people will use it. I’d say the government should not be involved.”

“People, the average American, who are willing to work for low wages, they don’t need to be involved in the black market anymore. It will probably not change very much. I don
