After downloading the app, tap the button on the top right of the screen to view the payments, then you want to click on “Pay Now”. It will take you to a website where you enter in your billing information. It will automatically deduct 5% of the total cost for your purchase from your account. However, you should only put in what you’re willing to spend. You need to remember this information and pay for the purchase in full before you can get your money. It may take up to 48 hours before you actually receive your payment confirmation.
Pay Now is useful if you’re buying a $35 smartphone or tablet that has no in-box software update. It does not support the LG Nexus 5. The only way to get this app is if you register on Kickstarter for $200.
If you’re still not happy with your purchase on Kickstarter, check out the Android version of the Pay Now app available on Google Play.
When it’s a deal
At the moment, Pay Now works on the Android platform. If you want to see other apps you can use the app on the iPhone, you need to use an iPhone with the Play Store.
If you have a smartwatch with Google Fit support (you can buy your own from the Apple store), you can also use the Pay Now apps to get payments from your smartwatch by using third-party apps on your phone.
If you’re interested in paying with your phone as well as with your watch, download the Samsung apps, Android apps or iOS apps to check out the current availability here.
Fossil fuel use is the main cause of climate change
By Megan Darby and Ian Traynor
NEW YORK, Feb 10 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – A key part of President Barack Obama’s climate policy, the plan to fight climate change, relies on energy consumption to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The new Energy Innovation Hub aims to help the administration make clear that energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions can be a two-way street, while supporting low-carbon efforts.
In a climate strategy that Obama launched on Tuesday, he says, “the first priority must be to put a stop to fossil fuel subsidies, including tax breaks, subsidies for oil and gas companies such as the one which supports the proposed Keystone XL pipeline.”
But this means cutting federal subsidies for fossil fuel producers, which are worth as much as $841 million per year, according to an analysis by the Environmental Protection Agency.
