When you get down to it, what are the things that help you on your journey. I am not a big fan of the traditional definition of the gig as the thing you are paid for. I don’t think in that sense it makes sense, and it’s hard to define what someone should pay for. I think it’s important to define what you want from a job. And that can usually be fairly understood within the gig model. This is why I decided to try one instead of the traditional one. To be able to have a lot more flexibility.

How did you land your job? How was your interview process?

After I accepted the position, there were some things that they wanted to know, so I had to give a lot of questions. I just didn’t really care how I spoke about that.

What was your day like?

It was a lot of fun, and definitely full of adventure — like, everything is possible.

How long were you in this job?

I started at the end of May of 2016 and it was my first job on my own.

How many years have you been working as a life coach?

I began my career in January 2017 and had been in this gig for the past 18 months.

How do you compare working as an “employee” vs. a “employer”, and what do you make of that, or of the pay gap?

At least I’m making what I was making and maybe more. Most people don’t understand that and think it’s the same thing. You are an employee; there is no way you are an employer. Your bosses determine your pay, which comes out of your base salary.

How did you spend your new salary?

It was around a thousand dollars a month, so I really spent it. I’m not going to lie. I didn’t really have money anywhere else. So, I was always on the go. I think working here has given me a little bit of money that I can share.

How much do you actually manage in a day?

I’m working 40 hours a week, and sometimes 50 hours a week, depending on when my clients are. Sometimes I’ll be working 30 to 40 hours a week, and sometimes 15 to 20 hours a week. I work a lot less and I think that’s a good thing. Sometimes I think people think that this kind of work is so hard. But I think that’s
